Cooly Dive offers Try Scuba Diving, a half-day diving course that is perfect for beginners. You will be briefed by your instructor who will give you basic knowledge about diving skills and the equipment you will be using. Since the ratio of instructors to divers is two to one, you can get personalized instruction. After the briefing, you will be taken to Cook Island Marine Reserve for your very first ocean dive. After trying out your water skills, you will descend down for your dive. The dive takes around 30-35 minutes with a maximum depth of 12 metres. Explore breathtaking Cook Island.
See spectacular subtropical and tropical species of fish. You will also see crayfish and shrimp. There are beautiful hard and soft corals. You might even get to swim with migratory shark species such as blind sharks, shovel nose sharks, leopard sharks, grey nurse, and wobbegongs depending on the time of the year.
The Try Scuba Diving course includes all your equipment, a boat trip to Cook Island Marine Reserve, light refreshments and pickups for a small fee.
Those who want more than a taste of scuba diving can try the Open Water Dive Course which takes three to four days. You get to complete four ocean dives at Cook Island. Cooly Dive also offers the chance to snorkel with the turtles at Cook Island Marine Reserve where green turtles are abundant all year round.
